Manager, Internal Audit

About the role

The Manager, Internal Audit provides risk‑based assurance across the organisation, developing a deep understanding of business risks, regulatory obligations and the operating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and reporting of risk‑based audits in line with Group Internal Audit methodology and professional standards.
• Manage audit teams, oversee scoping, testing, reporting and closure, ensuring timelines, quality and resource plans are met.
• Communicate findings, risk themes and emerging risks to senior management and governance forums, and monitor remediation progress.
• Promote data‑analytics, automation and technology‑enabled assurance techniques to improve audit coverage and efficiency.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Audit, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Business or Technology.
• Professional qualification such as CIA, CA(SA), ACCA, ACA, CPA, CISA, CFE or equivalent.
• 8‑12 years of internal audit, external audit, risk management or related experience in a complex organisation.
• Experience leading audit teams, engaging senior stakeholders and using data‑analytics in audit work.

Required skills

• Understanding of technology controls, digital business processes and emerging risks.
