Marathi Linguistic QA Specialist – Remote

About the role

This hourly, remote contractor position is for a Marathi Quality Assurance Lead who will oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Marathi AI training projects. You will review AI‑generated Marathi content, evaluate it against detailed guidelines, and provide precise written feedback to ensure high‑quality training data.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Marathi content and trainer/QA work for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to project rubrics.
• Provide clear, written feedback in English and maintain documentation such as style guides, FAQs, and onboarding materials.
• Identify recurring quality issues, communicate updates to trainers and QAs, and support onboarding of new contributors.
• Maintain trackers, dashboards, and other quality documentation using remote collaboration tools.
• Assist in activating contributors who are not working consistently and help improve overall workflow efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marathi, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Marathi with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong command of English for following guidelines and providing feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Marathi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or related language‑review workflows.
• Deep understanding of Marathi grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, tone, register, regional variation, and cultural context.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred.
