Production Manager

About the role

The Bhunjun Group is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead its vehicle and equipment operations in Mauritius. The role focuses on ensuring operational readiness, compliance, and continuous improvement while mentoring a team of engineers and technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, servicing, and repair of all vehicles and equipment to maximise operational readiness.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor performance metrics and produce regular reports on asset condition, maintenance costs, and KPIs.
• Manage procurement of spare parts, tools, and equipment; liaise with suppliers to ensure cost‑effective sourcing.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety codes, and environmental requirements.
• Evaluate and recommend upgrades, replacements, or new technologies to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, including at least 3 years in fleet management or a supervisory role.
• Proven experience leading a team of engineers or technicians.
