Receptionist – Luxury Hotel Front Desk

About the role

We are looking for a personable Receptionist to join the front office team at One&Only Le Saint Géran, a luxury resort in Mauritius. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and seamless experience throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously upon arrival and manage check‑in/check‑out procedures.
• Issue room keys, handle pre‑authorisations, deposits and foreign‑exchange transactions.
• Assist guests with special requests such as taxi bookings, theatre tickets, luggage storage, and local information.
• Maintain accurate room status, process room moves, upgrades and end‑of‑day key cuts.
• Answer and forward telephone calls, relay messages, and support the Front Office Manager with secretarial duties.
• Prepare guest bills, audit charges, and update the guest preference database.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and strive to exceed satisfaction targets.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French with excellent communication skills.
• Extroverted, customer‑focused personality with strong phone etiquette.
• Ability to multitask, work after hours and maintain confidentiality.
• Awareness of health and safety procedures.
