Remote Accountant – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our remote team on a full‑time basis. You will be responsible for daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable, and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns, and process payroll.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• Professional certification preferred: CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK).
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or SAP.
