Security Analyst I

About the role

Checkout.com is looking for a Security Analyst I to join its high-velocity 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC). The role is a frontline position protecting the company's global financial ecosystem, actively hunting, triaging and neutralizing threats in real time with a world-class security stack.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively monitor the environment using Azure Sentinel (SIEM)
• Provide end-to-end support for security incidents
• Use Wiz and Qualys to identify misconfigurations and vulnerabilities
• Analyze threat feeds and adapt defenses against emerging fintech-specific attack vectors
• Manage and optimize SentinelOne for full visibility and protection
• Audit and secure access patterns in Okta and Active Directory under a Zero Trust approach
• Support PCI DSS and SOC2 audits with evidence collection and control validation
• Analyze traffic patterns in Netskope to detect data exfiltration or anomalous behavior
• Provide 24/7 coverage on rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, and act as first point of contact during shifts

Required profile

• 2+ years in a Security Analyst or similar role, preferably in tech or fintech
• Understanding of incident response processes (containment, eradication, recovery)
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH or GIAC are a plus

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g. Azure Sentinel), endpoint protection platforms and vulnerability scanners
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and basic cloud security best practices
• Basic network security knowledge, including firewall configurations and IDS/IPS monitoring
• Awareness of PCI DSS
