Waiter/Waitress

About the role

Join the hospitality team at One&Only Le Saint Géran, a luxury resort on a private peninsula in Mauritius. As a Waiter/Waitress you will deliver the resort’s high standards of service in the restaurant, bar, lounge and, when required, room service areas, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and cared for.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus and inform them of daily specials.
• Take food and beverage orders using handheld POS or order pads, noting any special dietary requests.
• Serve meals and drinks promptly, refill glasses, clear tables and reset for the next guests.
• Open and pour wine tableside, and assist with basic cooking tasks when needed.
• Process payments, issue receipts and handle cash accurately.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas and assist with stock replenishment.
• Step in as a runner or fill in for absent staff as directed.

Required profile

• Familiarity with basic cooking skills.
• Consistent adherence to grooming and appearance standards.
• Ability to communicate the resort’s food and beverage offerings clearly.
• Willingness to support stock management and side‑station organization.

Required skills

• Operation of handheld Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems.
• Basic cooking techniques.
