Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with at least three years of hands‑on experience in accounting and finance. The successful candidate will join an international business environment in Mauritius, handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks and supporting the finance team with accurate reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities and maintain accurate books of accounts.
• Handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and payments.
• Perform bank, ledger, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.
• Monitor receivables, payables, expenses, and cash flow.
• Support audit, taxation, and statutory compliance activities.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
• Maintain proper financial documentation and records.
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience in general accounting, AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• CA / semi‑qualified CA / CMA / ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting activities.
