Accounting Manager – Financial Reporting & Controls

About the role

The Accounting Manager ensures the integrity of the company’s accounting and financial reporting processes. This senior position leads the preparation of accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports while maintaining a strong internal control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including financial reporting, analysis, and interpretation of financial data.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee budget, forecast, variance analysis and cost reporting, providing recommendations to improve performance.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and compliance frameworks.
• Coordinate external and internal audit engagements and serve as primary liaison with auditors.
• Support senior finance leadership with financial analysis, performance insights and strategic recommendations.
• Lead, coach and develop the accounting team, allocating work and monitoring performance.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in financial accounting, reporting and internal controls.
• Proven ability to manage audits and statutory reporting obligations.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
