Accounts Officer

About the role

The Accounts Officer is responsible for maintaining the accounting standards defined by Constance Hospitality Management Ltd. This role supports the financial operations of the group’s hotels and resorts across the Indian Ocean.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices using the accounting software and reconcile them with supplier statements.
• Prepare and dispatch payments to suppliers, including bank transfers.
• Maintain petty cash, update the cash book and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
• Reconcile bank statements with the cash book and inter‑company transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly returns to authorities and audit files.
• Keep digital and physical financial records up‑to‑date and support external auditors.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve payment queries.
• Ensure proper use of material and equipment in the accounts department.

Required profile

• Minimum ‘A’ Level qualification.
• Good command of English and French, both spoken and written.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, able to work under pressure.
• Previous experience in the hospitality sector is an advantage.
• Familiarity with accounting procedures and standards set by the company.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience with hotel accounting software.
• Knowledge of accounting procedures.
