Air Transportation Supervisor

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Air Transportation Supervisor to lead fleet service operations for a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures aircraft are cleaned, serviced, and ready for departure in compliance with all regulations and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise fleet service operations, meeting AFI 24-605 standards and schedule deadlines.
• Assign and manage a team handling equipment loading, galley/lavatory servicing, portable lavatory and water servicing, and interior sanitation.
• Coordinate with cargo handlers, ground crews, and external stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient aircraft servicing.
• Inspect and maintain aircraft service equipment, ensuring operational readiness and safety compliance.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of service activities, equipment usage, and inventory.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to maintain high performance and adherence to standards.
• Resolve operational issues promptly to protect schedule integrity and customer satisfaction.
• Implement and enforce quality assurance and control procedures for all air transportation support activities.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in fleet service, air transportation, or ground support operations, including supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or transportation certifications preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of air transportation regulations and AFI 24‑605 guidelines.
• Strong understanding of aircraft servicing practices, including galley/lavatory and interior sanitation.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency with computer systems for scheduling, task management, and maintenance logging.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
