Antenna Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Antenna Maintenance Supervisor will lead the maintenance, installation and repair of HF antenna systems on Diego Garcia, ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement and Amentum’s ISO‑9001 quality system. This role requires rapid response to government personnel and 24/7 on‑site availability.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and perform antenna maintenance, installation, and corrective repairs, including preventive maintenance (PM) and AIMP execution.
• Inspect and maintain fixed and semi‑fixed antenna structures, bore‑sight equipment, and Lightning Protection Systems.
• Conduct corrosion control, surface cleaning, and heavy‑metal sampling before renovations or demolitions.
• Climb and work at full tower height in accordance with OSHA standards to inspect tower structural reliability and lightning mitigation systems.
• Maintain aircraft safety warning lights and associated hardware on all towers.
• Accompany personnel in secured areas with NCTS and ensure compliance with the PWS.
• Maintain databases of sample results and inspection reports.
• Be available within 30 minutes for emergency response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Required profile

• Engineer or technician with experience in HF antenna systems, outside plant work, and antenna maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of antenna maintenance and operations experience.
• At least three years in a supervisory role, preferably in an austere OCONUS environment.
• Must complete a five‑day “Basic Corrosion” course (NACE or equivalent) within six months of assignment.
