Application Designer Specialist (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Application Designer to join our Agile Delivery Centre. The role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining SAS‑based applications for operational reporting and analytics while collaborating with business and IT stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain SAS applications, including ETL processes.
• Analyze technical impacts of functional requirements and propose innovative solutions.
• Optimize existing code and technical stacks for performance.
• Create unit and integration tests and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, specifications and user guides.
• Collect, analyse and formalise business needs, model end‑to‑end solutions and drive process simplifications.
• Work within SAFe/Scrum frameworks, conduct Agile rituals and use Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow for task management.
• Monitor team workloads, report on squad progress and manage incident resolution in production environments.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English, able to work CET hours.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAS Base, SAS Macros, SAS SQL and SAS Enterprise Guide.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Spark and SQL for data access and calculations.
• Experience with data‑modeling tools such as dbt and version‑control systems like Git/GitHub.
• Solid understanding of Agile (SAFe/Scrum) methodologies and collaborative tools.
