Application Support Engineer – Digital Gaming

About the role

Rank Interactive is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join its Technology team. The role focuses on ensuring stability, performance and reliability of business‑critical applications that power online entertainment, bingo and slot gaming services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support and guidance on application functionality, performance and best practices.
• Own and manage production and non‑production environments, coordinating deployments across Windows and Azure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration and data issues, leading root‑cause investigations.
• Drive Problem Management initiatives to reduce recurring incidents and improve service reliability.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure and vendor teams during major incidents and outages.
• Develop and enhance monitoring, alerting and event‑management capabilities.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 4‑6+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Proven experience supporting business‑critical applications in complex production environments.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyse and resolve data‑related issues.
• Good understanding of cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working with APIs, integrations and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Knowledge of Windows Server environments and deployment processes.
• Hands‑on experience with application monitoring and proactive incident management.
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
