Architectural Assistant – Design Support Role

About the role

GEL Consultants is seeking an Architectural Assistant to join its design team in Quatre Bornes. You will support day‑to‑day project work, helping to translate concepts into detailed drawings and documentation while collaborating closely with senior architects and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical and architectural drawings and assist in developing design concepts.
• Organise and update project files, produce presentations for internal and client meetings, and coordinate with team members to ensure design consistency and accuracy.
• Participate in design discussions, handle site‑related documentation, and perform basic administrative tasks related to project workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar architectural assistant role.
• Strong technical drawing abilities and solid understanding of architectural design principles.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
• Attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and contribute to a collaborative design environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience using Revit.
• Familiarity with SketchUp or similar 3D modelling software.
