Assistant Accountant – Global Finance Team

About the role

Join Ocorian’s Global Accounting team as an Assistant Accountant and support finance operations across multiple international jurisdictions. You will gain hands‑on experience in accounts payable, reconciliations, month‑end activities and financial reporting while building a solid foundation in global accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, employee expenses and other accounting transactions, ensuring accurate financial records.
• Apply payments to relevant invoices and maintain up‑to‑date accounting information.
• Prepare and post payment and periodic journal entries as part of regular accounting activities.
• Perform supplier statement and balance‑sheet reconciliations to support the quality and integrity of financial data.
• Contribute to month‑end accounting activities and the preparation of financial information.
• Prepare simple accounts and financial summaries, developing reporting expertise.
• Support tax, VAT and statutory payment activities across relevant entities.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external auditors to support local and Group audit activities.
• Participate in finance projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
• Practical exposure to finance or accounting environments with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, focused on maintaining accurate financial information.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with an interest in learning within a global finance setting.
• Motivation to develop knowledge of tax and VAT processes.
