Assistant Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper supports the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations at a 5‑star resort. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organising and supervising all housekeeping activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms, suites, villas and public areas to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Coordinate room status with the Front Office to guarantee timely availability for guests.
• Prepare VIP rooms and special‑occasion accommodations according to guest preferences.
• Monitor and follow up on out‑of‑order rooms, deep‑cleaning needs and maintenance issues.
• Implement daily cleaning schedules, periodic programmes and preventive housekeeping routines.
• Support special projects such as refurbishments, renovations and seasonal deep‑cleaning.
• Supervise and motivate housekeeping staff, allocating manpower based on occupancy and operational demands.
• Ensure proper and safe use of housekeeping equipment, chemicals and supplies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping operations, preferably in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with Front Office, Engineering, Food & Beverage and other departments.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining 5‑star service standards.
