Assistant Level 2 – Cards Operations

About the role

The Assistant Level 2 – Cards Operations supports the delivery of card and payment services by ensuring operational and system‑related activities are performed accurately and within service standards. You will work with internal and external stakeholders, provide customer support, maintain operational reporting, and help drive process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Process card operational activities and eForms accurately, meeting established SLAs.
• Provide high‑quality operational support to customers and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of cards and payments products, services, systems, and processes.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries and operational issues promptly.
• Prepare and maintain accurate operational reports, statistics, and performance data.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, controls, and confidentiality requirements.
• Utilise cards and payments systems effectively, including the Card Management System and related tools.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to achieve departmental objectives.
• Contribute to a positive, customer‑focused, collaborative team environment.

Required profile

• Higher School Certificate (HSC) with a Diploma or Certificate in a related field; a degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Management or similar is an advantage.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a cards and payments environment; experience in financial services or banking is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
