Assistant Manager – Global Business Sector

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support the Unit Manager in delivering high‑quality services across the Global Business Sector. You will oversee operational activities, manage client relationships and ensure compliance with AML and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Unit Manager in all operational aspects of unit deliverables and ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Review, monitor and guide the work of unit members, including timesheet analysis and capacity planning.
• Provide regular operational updates to senior management and identify training needs.
• Perform customer due diligence (CDD) in line with AML code and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Attend and document client meetings, sign off on bank account openings and ensure transactions align with company scope.
• Review board packs, shareholder resolutions and certificates of standing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Handle incorporation, restructuring, merger, re‑domiciliation and winding‑up processes with relevant authorities.
• Manage client relationships, meet service level expectations and conduct performance appraisals for team members.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of experience in the Global Business Sector or a comparable audit environment.
• University degree from a recognised institution; undertaking ACCA or ACA studies is preferred.
• Strong client‑service mindset with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Proven ability to multi‑task, prioritize and manage time effectively under pressure.
• Organisational, interpersonal and team‑working skills with a goal‑oriented approach.
