Assistant·e de projets – Stratégies bas-carbone, résilience et économie circulaire

About the role

Cap Business Océan Indien is seeking a motivated Project Assistant to support the development and implementation of low‑carbon, resilient strategies, circular‑economy initiatives, and sustainable agriculture projects across the Indian Ocean region. Working under the supervision of the Mission Lead, you will help private‑sector partners transition toward greener practices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Mission Lead for low‑carbon and resilience projects.
• Monitor ongoing projects, ensure timely delivery, and coordinate activities among external providers and stakeholders.
• Prepare project documentation, manage administrative files, and maintain up‑to‑date technical records.
• Assist in the calculation of carbon footprints and the development of Cap Business’s decarbonisation plan.
• Facilitate communication between private companies, national and regional public authorities.

Required profile

• Understanding of energy transition, climate, and environmental challenges in the Southwest Indian Ocean islands.
• Degree in engineering (electrical, energy transition, environmental sciences) or a master’s in sustainable development/environment.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in sustainability, circular economy, or related fields.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Proactive, versatile, and able to work onsite in Mauritius.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Basic knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
