Associate Tax Consultant

About the role

The Associate Tax Consultant will support the tax team in delivering accurate tax compliance and advisory services for our Mauritius clients, ensuring timely filings and high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Review, file and sign off tax, PAYE, TDS and VAT computations and returns.
• Coordinate timely filing of quarterly and annual tax returns for clients in Mauritius.
• Prepare and maintain taxation processes and provide internal training on tax updates.
• Provide technical support to client service units and prepare tax technical papers and FAQs.
• Liaise with the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) on client queries, attend meetings and draft responses.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation, assess implications and implement new procedures.
• Oversee unit deliverables, manage resources, review timesheets and ensure high‑quality service.
• Maintain client relationships, ensure deadlines are met and drive continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of relevant tax experience.
• Degree or substantial progress towards ACA/ACCA qualification.
• Client‑service mindset with strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
