Audit Senior – Lead Audit Engagements

About the role

The Audit Senior position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Mauritius. You will lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring high‑quality delivery and compliance with professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits, assess risk areas and perform detailed audit procedures.
• Review work of junior team members, provide coaching and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Prepare audit documentation, draft financial statements and reports.
• Liaise with clients to address queries and collaborate with partners and managers on technical issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies and support high‑quality client service.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles and financial reporting frameworks.
• Proficiency in audit planning, risk assessment and execution of audit procedures.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff with solid organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to build professional relationships.
• Professional qualification (or progress toward) such as ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent.
• Relevant external audit experience; cross‑border or group audit experience is a plus.
• High integrity, attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Required skills

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with audit and accounting software.
