AutoCAD Designer – Retail Industry

About the role

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Designer to create and optimise shop layouts for our retail stores. The role involves translating retail concepts into detailed 2D and 3D drawings, supporting new store openings, refurbishments, and ongoing space planning.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 2D and 3D shop layouts using AutoCAD for new stores, renovations and re‑organisation projects.
• Design floor plans, shelving, gondola, counter and display unit layouts while ensuring efficient use of space and compliance with company standards.
• Generate detailed construction drawings for contractors and suppliers.
• Conduct site measurements, update drawings, and modify existing layouts to meet operational and merchandising needs.
• Collaborate with Retail, Operations, Maintenance and Merchandising teams to align designs with business objectives.
• Maintain and regularly update the central store layout and drawing database.
• Support planning and implementation phases of new store openings and refurbishment projects.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience in retail design, shop‑fitting, interior design or space planning is advantageous.
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings with high attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities.
