Automotive Body Repairer

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Automotive Body Repairer to support a unique US Navy program on the remote island of Diego Garcia. The role involves repairing and preparing vehicles to manufacturer standards while ensuring strict safety and quality compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Repair vehicles according to estimates and manufacturer standards, ordering and verifying parts.
• Prepare vehicles for body repair, notify management of additional repairs or issues, and maintain tools and equipment.
• Wear required PPE, comply with hazardous material regulations, and report safety deviations.
• Assist other personnel with vehicle prep and repair tasks, and operate all tools safely.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 6 months to 1 year related experience.
• Valid passport (minimum 1‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas and facility credentials.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain them for the deployment duration.
• Proficiency in English for reading, speaking, and comprehension of emergency procedures.
