Avionics Technician – Wide‑Body Aircraft

About the role

AEXTECH is seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to work on‑site in Port Louis, supporting wide‑body aircraft. The position is contract‑based and focuses on the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of avionics systems in line with regulatory and manufacturer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain and repair avionics equipment on wide‑body aircraft.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation to perform system checks.
• Diagnose faults, conduct troubleshooting and apply corrective actions.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure aircraft readiness.
• Document all work performed and comply with safety, quality and regulatory procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and related technical documents.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, especially wide‑body avionics.
• Experience in scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for avionics issues.
• Hands‑on expertise in maintenance and repair of avionics components.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in avionics, aerospace engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations such as EASA or FAA and safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in on‑site team settings and maintain accurate maintenance records.
