Backhoe Loader Operator – Open to Expats, Mauritius

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Operate Backhoe Loaders on excavation, trenching, loading, backfilling and earth‑moving tasks.
• Perform daily pre‑start inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Report any mechanical faults or maintenance needs promptly.
• Adhere to all health, safety regulations and company procedures.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other construction personnel.
• Undertake any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience operating Backhoe Loaders.
• Valid Excavator (P Tyre) Operator licence or certification (mandatory).
• Good knowledge of excavation and civil engineering works.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
• Reliable, responsible and able to work both independently and within a team.
