Business Analyst – Planning

About the role

The Business Analyst – Planning supports the European planning team by ensuring data accuracy, coordinating procurement activities, and facilitating smooth execution of supply‑chain processes. The role bridges internal finance and operations teams with external suppliers to maintain material availability and meet service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders and monitor inventory, production schedules, and demand.
• Assist with unit‑of‑measure changes, material master updates (MOQ, rounding values), and product discontinuation activities.
• Manage batch and transfer requests across the European distribution network.
• Process sales order inquiries, release blocked orders, and handle customer return requests.
• Support reservation contract analysis, CVC consistency checks, and APO alignment.
• Update supply‑chain network settings for regulatory and temperature‑specific requirements.
• Participate in warehouse relocation, stock discrepancy checks, and corrective actions.
• Prepare ad‑hoc reports, SRF reporting, consumption copies, and respond to the central planning mailbox.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Management or related field (preferred).
• 1‑3 years of supply‑chain experience.
• APICS/CPIM certification is desirable.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to resolve vendor performance and delivery issues.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Familiarity with forecasting tools such as APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization).
• Data analysis and reporting capabilities.
