Business Development Assistant

About the role

The Business Development Assistant supports the Business Development and Reinsurance Broking teams in identifying new business opportunities, conducting market research, maintaining client relationships and coordinating business development activities across local and international markets. Local and international candidates are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential clients, business partners and market opportunities.
• Assist in generating business leads and maintain an updated prospect database.
• Support communication and follow-ups with existing and prospective clients.
• Assist in preparing business proposals, presentations and other documentation.
• Coordinate meetings and follow up on business development activities.
• Maintain and update business development pipelines and progress reports.
• Support the Broking Team with administrative and operational tasks relating to new business opportunities.
• Research industry trends and market developments, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Insurance or a related field; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience in business development or the insurance and reinsurance sector is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, proactive and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and within a multicultural team.
