Business Intelligence (BI) Lead

About the role

The Business Intelligence (BI) Lead will drive the design, development, and delivery of BI solutions that enable data‑driven decision making across the organisation. Reporting to senior management, you will lead a team of BI professionals, collaborate with business users and technical teams, and ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of reports, dashboards, and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage the BI team, assigning work and monitoring progress.
• Design, develop and maintain reports (Jasper Reports) and interactive dashboards (Power BI or similar).
• Develop applications using Microsoft Power Apps when required.
• Create and maintain data models and oversee ETL processes to guarantee data quality and integrity.
• Optimize performance of reports, dashboards, SQL queries and ETL pipelines.
• Analyse data to uncover trends, present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging BI technologies and propose enhancements.
• Document solutions, provide training, and ensure rigorous testing and quality assurance.
• Maintain existing BI solutions, troubleshoot issues and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience leading BI teams and delivering enterprise‑level BI solutions.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical designs.
