Business Unit Manager

About the role

The Business Unit Manager leads the plant’s day‑to‑day operations, driving performance, safety and profitability while aligning the site with the company’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement an industrial strategy that supports business growth objectives.
• Oversee site operations to ensure safe, efficient and cost‑effective production.
• Drive performance across production, maintenance, logistics, quality and HSE functions.
• Maintain strong inventory control, asset reliability and operational efficiency.
• Deliver the Business Unit P&L and meet financial performance targets.
• Translate market demand into operational plans in partnership with commercial teams.
• Support regional growth initiatives and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory and feed‑safety standards.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects to optimise costs and efficiency.
• Develop and lead teams, fostering a culture of performance, accountability and engagement.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of production and operations management.
• Proven leadership experience with responsibility for team management and P&L ownership.
• Solid analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
