Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

DHL is looking for a motivated Buyer to join its procurement team. The role focuses on processing purchase requests, negotiating with suppliers and maintaining strong internal and external relationships. You will help ensure the right goods are sourced efficiently and cost‑effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requests and ensure all mandatory information is included.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best offers.
• Drive the creation and use of procurement catalogues.
• Support daily order processing in the e‑tool ordering system.
• Communicate with business requestors to clarify and document requirements.
• Search for new suppliers and maintain communication with existing ones.
• Match purchase requests with existing contracts and preferred vendors.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and internal business partners, solving day‑to‑day issues.
• Generate and analyse reporting to identify catalogue improvements.

Required profile

• Experience processing purchase requests and negotiating with suppliers.
• Ability to drive procurement catalogue creation and usage.
• Strong communication skills with business requestors and suppliers.
• Capability to match requests with contracts and preferred vendors.
• Proficiency in generating and analysing procurement reports.
