Certification Manager

About the role

Envirium Life Sciences is seeking a Certifications and Grants Manager to ensure operational sustainability and compliance across its international subsidiaries. Based in Mauritius, the role involves frequent travel and close collaboration with field teams, ESG strategists, and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and secure certifications such as RFA, Organic, Fairtrade, BSCI, EcoVadis, and SBTi, and manage field audits.
• Ensure compliance across subsidiaries, strengthening traceability and internal control systems.
• Translate certification requirements into concrete operational practices with sourcing, production, and ESG teams.
• Implement group standards, harmonise practices, and deploy field‑oriented tools.
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities for impact‑driven projects (climate, biodiversity, smallholder farmers).
• Provide technical input for grant applications and support impact measurement and reporting.
• Train, support, and empower local teams, maintaining a strong field presence.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in certifications and grants, preferably in the agri‑food sector.
• Strong knowledge of certification standards (RFA, Organic, Fairtrade, etc.).
• Good understanding of agricultural supply chains and ESG topics (climate, biodiversity, traceability).
• Ability to structure projects and translate field realities into fundable impact.
• Experience in international, multicultural environments (Africa/Asia preferred).
• Proactive, ethical team player with strong coordination and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English and French; Swahili is a plus.
