Chief Electrician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Chief Electrician to lead the electrical maintenance at Constance Prince Maurice, a luxury resort in Mauritius. The role ensures safe, efficient and reliable operation of all electrical infrastructure, overseeing preventive and corrective work across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electricians and technicians, planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose faults, repair equipment, and inspect installations, switchboards, motors, generators and control systems.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, electrical codes and company procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance, maintain records and coordinate with engineering and operations departments.
• Manage spare parts, tools and materials, and support installation, modification and commissioning projects.

Required profile

• Diploma, certificate or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a chief electrician or in a similar senior electrical role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, generators, motors and distribution panels.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
