About the role
Imara Trust Company is seeking a full‑time Compliance Executive to work on‑site in Mauritius. The role focuses on monitoring regulatory adherence and internal policy compliance across all business activities and client engagements.
Key responsibilities
- Review and update compliance frameworks to reflect current Mauritian and international regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, due‑diligence reviews and maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
- Advise internal teams on legal and regulatory changes and provide guidance on best practices.
- Support the development and delivery of compliance training and awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate with management, operations and client‑facing teams to foster a strong compliance culture.
Required profile
- Strong expertise in regulatory compliance and law, with ability to interpret Mauritian and international regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with regulators, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Robust analytical abilities to assess risks and provide well‑founded recommendations.
- Relevant academic background (Law, Finance, Business or related) and preferably professional compliance or AML/CFT certifications.
- Experience in financial services, corporate administration or trust and fiduciary services, preferably within Mauritius or similar jurisdictions.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
