Construction Executive – Senior Leadership Role in Mauritius

About the role

A leading construction company in Mauritius is seeking a senior Construction Executive to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across its construction sites, projects, plant and yard operations. The role requires extensive site‑based experience, strong commercial awareness and the ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
• Provide executive leadership and oversight across all construction sites, projects, plant and yard operations.
• Lead senior construction and operational teams, including Contracts Managers, Site Managers and Commercial functions.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement throughout the division.
• Oversee tender preparation, risk assessment, profitability analysis and realistic programme evaluation.
• Maintain health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance on all projects.
• Monitor financial performance, cost control and approve key expenditures.
• Promote sustainable construction practices and compliance with standards such as LEED and BREEAM.

Required profile

• Results‑driven, commercially astute senior leader with 15+ years of senior‑level experience.
• Strong coach and mentor capable of developing high‑performing construction teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Committed to safety, quality, governance and professional standards.
• Highly organised with exceptional project and presentation abilities.
