About the role
We are seeking an experienced Conveyor Belting Splicer to join our workshop team in Mauritius. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, measuring, and splicing conveyor belts to keep our material handling systems running efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Fabricate and splice conveyor belts and related components.
- Perform hot and cold belt splicing as required.
- Measure, cut, and prepare conveyor belting accurately.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely.
- Assist with other workshop activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and quality procedures.
Required profile
- Previous experience in conveyor belt fabrication and splicing.
- Ability to read basic measurements and technical drawings.
- Valid driver’s licence; forklift licence is an advantage.
Required skills
- Conveyor belt splicing (hot and cold).
- Belt fabrication and preparation.
- Accurate measurement and cutting of belting.
- Use of hand and power tools in a workshop setting.
- Forklift operation (advantage).
