Coordinating Nurse – Assistance

About the role

International SOS is seeking a Coordinating Nurse to provide front‑line telephonic triage and medical assistance to travelers worldwide. You will work within a truly international team, supporting clients with medical, security and logistical advice while ensuring safe travel experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver telephone triage to travelers and provide pre‑trip health advice.
• Interpret medical situations by conducting risk analyses that consider condition and geographical location.
• Offer evidence‑based medical assessments, support and recommendations directly to patients and clients.
• Liaise with international medical professionals to obtain assessments for patients hospitalized or treated overseas.
• Assess standards of care and guide travel decisions following illness or injury.
• Arrange complex medical evacuations and repatriations from any location.
• Collaborate daily with colleagues in 27 countries.

Required profile

• Valid Registered Nurse license.
• Significant experience in critical care or emergency medicine (strongly preferred).
• Broad medical knowledge with an acute‑care background; primary care experience is a plus.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
• Good computer proficiency.

Required skills

• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
