Credit Control Specialist

About the role

Orange Business is seeking a Credit Control Specialist to manage collections for its large French clients. You will work closely with commercial and legal teams to ensure timely payments while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Contact clients by phone, email or mail to follow up on overdue invoices.
• Negotiate payment plans and obtain early payments when possible.
• Verify the compliance of debt files and keep the client database up‑to‑date.
• Alert relevant parties to any financial difficulties or blockages.
• Monitor accounts in financial distress and understand collective procedures.
• Handle client complaints related to billing and collections.
• Provide regular updates to Account Billing Managers and Customer Contract Managers.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects aimed at improving collection processes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of collection techniques such as negotiation, persuasion and questioning.
• Excellent communication skills and a diplomatic approach.
• Highly organized, rigorous and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical mindset with good synthesis abilities.
• Ability to manage conflict situations effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
