Customer Support Assistant

About the role

The Customer Support Assistant will work within the Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) function, acting as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of corporate customers. The role focuses on handling routine enquiries, processing payments, and supporting the Wholesale Banking team.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries about tariffs, deposit rates, and exchange rates.
• Process account queries, inter‑account transfers, and statement requests.
• Arrange cheque books, paying‑in books, and customised stationery.
• Open, close, and transfer accounts; update customer details and mandates.
• Set up, amend, and cancel regular payment instructions.
• Process inward and outward payments, ensuring required authorisations.
• Coordinate fund deposits with the Treasury Department.
• Handle international payment requests via Trade Finance.
• Act as the principal contact in the absence of the Relationship Manager.
• Record and resolve customer complaints, driving continuous improvement.
