Cybersecurity Operations Lead

About the role

We are establishing a Delivery Center in Mauritius and need a Cybersecurity Operations Lead to drive threat detection, incident response and cyber‑resilience across a complex, regulated environment. You will be the trusted advisor for senior management and external stakeholders, shaping the security posture of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SOC and CERT activities, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, response and mitigation of cyber threats.
• Oversee end‑to‑end incident response: investigation, containment, eradication, recovery and post‑incident analysis.
• Direct cyber threat intelligence and threat‑hunting programmes to identify emerging risks.
• Manage and optimise security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IAM, NDR, DLP and email security.
• Drive automation, security playbooks and continuous improvement of detection and response capabilities.
• Strengthen cyber‑resilience, governance, compliance and security controls in line with regulatory requirements.
• Build and develop multidisciplinary SOC, CERT and cybersecurity teams.
• Manage vendors, service performance, budgets, KPIs and operational reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, incident response and cyber‑resilience.
• Background in banking, financial services, critical infrastructure or another regulated industry is strongly preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, GCIH, GCIA, CEH or ISO 27001 are an advantage.
