Data Engineer – Azure Platform

About the role

C-Care International is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Corporate Office in Mauritius. Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you will maintain and enhance the Group’s Microsoft Azure data platform, ensuring clinical, operational and commercial data is securely integrated, transformed and ready for reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor Azure data pipelines to guarantee schedule adherence, data accuracy and security.
• Design, build and maintain ingestion, transformation and modelling pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks/Synapse and SQL.
• Apply version control, testing practices and documented engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and data‑quality issues, implementing root‑cause fixes.
• Develop curated data models and reporting datasets for Power BI dashboards.
• Lead end‑to‑end data projects, from scoping and planning to execution and post‑implementation review.
• Communicate progress, risks and dependencies to sponsors and stakeholders.
• Implement data governance, access controls, cataloguing, lineage tracking and retention policies.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data quality and security.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams such as Finance, Operations and Medical Leadership.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and reporting.
