Databricks Engineer – Cloud Data Platform Specialist

About the role

Accenture is seeking a Databricks Engineer to design, build and optimise modern cloud data platforms. You will develop secure, high‑performance data pipelines that turn raw data from multiple sources into trusted datasets for analytics, reporting and AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and Python.
• Build data ingestion, transformation and orchestration workflows for structured and unstructured data.
• Implement cloud‑native data solutions on Azure and/or AWS.
• Ensure pipelines are secure, reliable, performant and cost‑efficient.
• Set up monitoring, alerting, logging and operational support processes.
• Apply data‑quality, validation and consistency controls.
• Contribute to data modelling and transformation activities for analytics and business applications.
• Produce technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and data‑flow descriptions.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Architects and Product Teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Databricks.
• Proficient programming skills in Python.
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Good understanding of modern data architectures and lakehouse concepts.
• Strong communication skills in English; French is mandatory.
