Demi Chef de Partie – Luxury Resort

About the role

Constance Prince Maurice, a luxury resort on the northeast coast of Mauritius, is looking for a talented Demi Chef de Partie to join its culinary team. You will support the Chef de Partie in delivering high‑quality dining experiences for discerning guests while maintaining the resort’s standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the assigned kitchen section.
• Prepare and cook food items according to hotel recipes and standards.
• Ensure mise‑en‑place is ready before service.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste and presentation.
• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs when required.
• Control proper storage, labeling and FIFO rotation of food items.
• Follow HACCP, hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Control wastage and assist in stock management.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and sanitary.
• Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to superiors.

Required profile

• NC3 in Food Production or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards.
• Understanding of proper food storage, labeling and FIFO rotation.
