Duty Manager - Boutique Hotel

About the role

MEDINE GROUP is looking for a Duty Manager for its Tamarina Golf & Spa Boutique Hotel. The Duty Manager supervises hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensures exceptional guest experiences, maintains operational standards and coordinates with all departments so the hotel runs smoothly and efficiently. The role calls for strong leadership, problem-solving and customer service skills.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support front office staff, provide training and guidance, and hold regular staff meetings
• Oversee front-of-house operations during shifts, ensuring SOP compliance and high service standards
• Manage the front desk, reservations and guest services, and monitor front office systems for accurate guest accounts and billing
• Replace the Night Auditor on scheduled days off, carrying out the nightly audit, financial reconciliation and report generation
• Carry out evening and night property walkthroughs to check safety, cleanliness and guest area readiness
• Coordinate with security and maintenance on incident reporting and emergency response
• Prepare and submit a Duty Manager report covering operations and guest feedback
• Identify training needs, promote cross-training between departments and liaise with management on policies and procedures

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in hotel operations or front office, including supervisory experience
• Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) is an advantage
