About the role
The Duty Manager will ensure smooth, secure, and efficient hotel operations during night hours. You will lead the night team, maintain service excellence, and act as the primary point of contact for guests and emergencies.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain team discipline, coach staff, and report issues to management/HR.
- Oversee shift handovers, ensure staff presence, and manage night reception duties.
- Handle guest check‑in/check‑out, early arrivals, late departures, and VIP escort.
- Resolve guest complaints, gather feedback, and ensure a welcoming experience.
- Supervise security, respond to emergencies, and conduct nightly hotel inspections.
- Verify arrivals, departures, billing details, and approve billing adjustments.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years front‑office experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Fluent in English and French; additional language is a plus.
Required skills
- Proficiency with hotel management systems such as Opera, Micros, and Win HMS.
