Face-to-Face Fundraiser

About the role

As a face-to-face fundraiser you will be the public face of Greenpeace in Mauritius, engaging passers-by in conversations about environmental issues and encouraging them to become regular monthly supporters.

Key responsibilities

• Approach and engage members of the public in friendly, informative discussions about Greenpeace campaigns.
• Inspire individuals to sign up for regular monthly donations via direct debit.
• Represent Greenpeace’s values and brand with passion and professionalism.
• Work towards individual and team sign-up targets.
• Maintain accurate records and submit daily activity reports.
• Operate across various outdoor locations such as shopping centres, markets and community events.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident speaking to strangers.
• Genuine passion for environmental and social causes.
• Self-motivated, target-driven with a positive attitude.
• Fluency in English or French; knowledge of Creole is an advantage.
• Previous sales, fundraising or customer-facing experience is a plus but not mandatory.
