Face-to-Face Fundraiser – Social Work Graduate

About the role

Greenpeace Mauritius is seeking enthusiastic social work graduates to join the team as face‑to‑face fundraisers. You will work across the island, meeting the public in markets, shopping centres and other busy locations to discuss environmental issues and encourage monthly support for Greenpeace campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Approach and engage visitors in public spaces to raise awareness of environmental challenges.
• Explain Greenpeace’s mission and campaigns in clear, relatable terms.
• Motivate individuals to become monthly supporters and secure their commitments.
• Represent Greenpeace Mauritius professionally and uphold its values during all interactions.
• Maintain accurate records of conversations and supporter sign‑ups.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in social work or a people‑oriented background.
• Confident communicator who enjoys engaging with diverse audiences.
• Target‑driven with a genuine passion for environmental and social causes.
• Fluent in English and/or French; knowledge of Creole is an advantage.
