Finance Internship – 6‑Month Placement in Insurance

About the role

We are looking for a motivated finance intern to join the finance department of a leading insurance company in Mauritius for a six‑month placement. The role offers hands‑on exposure to core financial activities and the chance to develop practical skills in a professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the finance team with daily tasks such as data entry, transaction recording and basic reporting.
• Support preparation of financial statements and analysis under supervision.
• Participate in internal finance projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Basic qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field (HSC, Diploma or undergraduate studies).
• Prior exposure to finance through internships, attachments or academic projects.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational abilities.
• Good communication skills in English and/or French.
• Professional conduct and willingness to follow office policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
