Finance Officer

About the role

EllGeo Re (Mauritius) Limited is looking for a motivated Finance Officer to join its finance team in Phoenix, Mauritius. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting reinsurance accounting, and maintaining robust financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse periodic financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support reinsurance accounting activities, including premium and claim allocations.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Maintain and improve financial control procedures to safeguard assets.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• ACCA qualified, partially qualified, or an equivalent professional credential.
• Minimum of three years relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and French.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
