Finance Senior Associate

About the role

PwC Africa is seeking a Finance Senior Associate to join its Finance Africa team in Mauritius. The role involves overseeing financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across multiple PwC territories.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Perform and oversee complex account reconciliations, promptly resolving discrepancies.
• Analyse financial data to provide insights that support business strategy and decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Review work of junior team members, offering guidance and feedback.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and drive operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with high professional judgement.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Familiarity with Alteryx.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems.
